Whether your looking to building a new deck or replace an old one, vinyl and composite materials are definitley the wise choice. Especially if you plan on staying there for a while. Depending on situation and preference, decks are usually constructed out of pressure treated lumber which we cantilever off a central beam. Therefore, you dont have to look at some unfinished ugly posts on the corner of your new deck. Next, the decking is installed (pressure treated or composite) followed by railing. When installing a vinyl railing we usually mount post sleeves over 4x4 pressure treated lumber that is fastened to the joists or steel mounts which accomplish the same structural integrity. Finally, the Railing will be installed between all posts and down stairs.
