We Pride ourselves with installations that are built to last.  For this reason, we only use the best products offered by Mapei.  All shower installs are done using a USG liner system 3' up wall where Mapei's aqua defence takes over to ceiling.  Also, all walls in a shower are done with 1/2" permabase, the more hardy of backer boards.  When dealing with floors, all backer or uncoupled membranes are first layed in a bed of mud before installation.  For this reason, there will never be a hollow spot in your sub floor to underlayment.  Finally, we use only Flexcolor CQ grout which is highly stain and mold resistant since it is premixed with a sealer.
